FOCUS AND SCOPE

Journal of Education, Pedagogy and Teacher Training is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, rigorous, and innovative research that advances theoretical insights and practical applications in education, instructional design, and professional teacher development.

The journal aims to provide a global platform for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to share groundbreaking studies that address contemporary challenges and future trends in schooling and higher education. We prioritize empirical research (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods) that offers clear pedagogical implications and contributes to the global body of educational literature.

To guide prospective authors, the journal explicitly welcomes original research articles, systematic literature reviews, and meta-analyses within but not limited to the following core thematic areas:

1. Teacher Education and Professional Development

  • Pre-service Teacher Training: Innovative curricula, practicum experiences, mentoring frameworks, and readiness for the teaching profession.

  • In-service Teacher Professionalism: Continuing professional development (CPD), teacher leadership, reflective practice, and teacher well-being.

  • Teacher Beliefs and Identities: Exploration of teacher agency, pedagogical beliefs, and professional identity formation across diverse cultural contexts.

2. Pedagogical Innovations and Instructional Design

  • Contemporary Pedagogies: Active learning strategies, student-centered approaches, differentiated instruction, and project-based learning.

  • Curriculum Development: Theory, design, implementation, and evaluation of modern education curricula.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Novel frameworks for formative and summative assessments, educational testing, and measuring learning outcomes.

3. Educational Technology and Digital Pedagogy

  • E-Learning and Blended Environments: Best practices in online learning, flipped classrooms, and hybrid educational models.

  • Emerging Technologies in Classrooms: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, gamification, virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR), and digital literacy for teachers.

4. Inclusive and Multicultural Education

  • Equity and Access: Strategies for teaching students with special educational needs (SEN), marginalized groups, and diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

  • Global and Intercultural Pedagogy: Citizenship education, multilingual classrooms, and cross-cultural pedagogical comparisons.

5. Educational Psychology and Learner Characteristics

  • Classroom Management: Classroom dynamics, teacher-student relationships, and psychological frameworks for positive learning environments.

Important Policy for Authors:

  • Global Relevance: Submissions must demonstrate broader international or regional significance. Studies focusing purely on highly localized issues without broader theoretical or practical implications for the international community will generally be considered outside the scope.

  • Originality: The journal strictly rejects descriptive studies that lack robust methodological frameworks, critical discussions, or theoretical triangulation.
